Historical NotesBaseball used by Yankees pitcher Ralph Terry and catcher Dale Long--who played with the Pirates in the 1950s--to warmup in the bullpen during the 8th inning of the final game of the 1960 World Series. This ball hit the ground and popped up in the air, and the donor, Anthony C. Kambic, caught it. Several years after the World Series, Kambic had both Bill Mazeroski and Dale Long autograph the ball. Kamic went on to be a photographer for the Associated Press from 1970 to 1979 and covered Pittsburgh Pirates games.
