Historical Notes2014 USA Rugby Women’s DII Club Championship Medal. The Pittsburgh Angels, part of the Pittsburgh Rugby Club, are a women’s DI rugby team. In 2012 and 2014, the team won the national championship for the DII level. This amateur team consistently ranks nationally. Jaime Filipek served as captain for both years the championship was won. This medal was won by Jaime in the 2014 championship game. It represents the growth of women in Western Pennsylvanian sports and the continued tradition of sporting success in the city of Pittsburgh.
