MarksOn reverse side is paper with maker's mark. Above is a union label --an oval with a wide horizontal bar running through center. Above the bar reads: "ALLIED PRINTING". Horizontal bar has a square space in the middle that reads: "UNION / LABEL". To the left of the square reads: "TRADES". To the right of the square reads: "COUNCIL". Below this reads: "NEWARK". On the right center side of the logo is the number "3". Below this symbol reads: "Buttons made by / The Whitehead & Hoag Co. / Newark, N. J., U. S. A. / Pat. April 14, 1896, / July 21, 1896."
