InscriptionsText on the face reads: "FLETCHER AND HOWE".

Union label in the center of maker's mark is an Allied Printing label.

MarksMaker's mark on the back reads: "THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. / NEWARK N.J. / [UNION LABEL] / PATENTED / JULY 17,1894 / APRIL 14, 1895. JULY 21, 1896".
Historical NotesPossibly referring to Allen M. Fletcher, who was Governor of Vermont from 1912-1915, and his Lieutenant Governor Frank E Howe.
