Historical NotesA silver and crystal loving cup from the Scaife family. The loving cup was a wedding gift to donor Curtis S. Scaife's grandparents, James Verner Scaife, Sr., and Mary Magee Scaife, who married in Pittsburgh around 1900. The names of the wedding party and family members are engraved on the cup's rim. Prominent in area industry and business, and noted for their philanthropic efforts, the Scaife family has been connected to Western Pennsylvania for over 200 years.
