DescriptionFoot warmer consisting of a tinned metal box inside a wood frame. The metal box is soldered at the seams and has a hinged front door with tabs wrapping around the internal framing wire. The top and sides have pierced and punched decoration. The wood frame has an openwork top and bottom with jointed corners and a rectangular tenon inserted into a corresponding opening. Turned corner posts join top & bottom using wood pegs. A wire bail handle is attached to top.Dimensions6 x 7 x 8.75 in. (15.2 x 17.8 x 22.2 cm)Historical NotesDonated by Mrs. T.U.
