Historical Notes63rd Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer's ribbon from 1908 Reunion, earned by William Carrick. Part of a collection of items related to the Carrick/Delbridge family. William Carrick (1840-1902) enlisted in the Company D, 63rd Regiment of Pittsburgh, PA Civil War Volunteers on August 1, 1861. He was captured on October 24, 1863 in Auburn Mills, Virginia, and spent 14 months as a POW in Andersonville, Georgia's prison; released November 26, 1864. He was discharged December 3, 1864 and married Sarah A. Whitaker (1836-1922) on September 6, 1866. He is buried beside her in the Anne Ashley United Methodist Church Cemetery in Munhall, PA.
