Historical NotesKendall Krunch cereal box recognizing former Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Jason Kendall. Jason Kendall debuted with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the spring of 1996 as their starting catcher. He was a three-time All-Star: in his rookie year, 1998, and 2000. From 2002 through 2004, Kendall led all major league catchers in games and innings behind the plate. He is the Pirates' all-time leader in games caught; he was traded to the Oakland Athletics in 2004.
