Historical NotesVase from the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Co. Catalonian line. The distinctive bubbles in Catalonian glass were created by sprinkling salt on a hot gather and then encasing this with another layer of molten glass; the articles were then blown and hand-worked into a finished product.Label TextReuben Haley patented this “Catalonian” glass in 1927. The textured exterior and bubbly glass copied both “old Spanish” glass and the Mexican glass being exported to the United States in the 1920s and ‘30s. Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co., Coraopolis, Pa
