DescriptionBaby or child's jumper. White diaphonous fabric. Sleeveless. Two wide straps fasten with single white button on each strap. White embroidery and white tatting around the neckline, armholes, and bottom of skirt. Tier of fabric just above skirt bottom. Skirt bottom flares out slightly due to pleating just under fabric tier.Dimensions17.25 in. (43.8 cm)Historical NotesPart of a collection of early 1930s handmade clothing made by Margaret Pfitzner for her son, donor Charles Wright, who was born in 1928. Margaret’s father was born in Germany in 1850, immigrated to the United States, and at the age of 14, in 1865, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Margaret was born in 1889. Donor Charles Wright’s father, Theadore, was raised on a farm, his parents were workers at Old Economy. He was the caretaker for the Atwood people of Leetsdale.
