(26.7 x 8.9 x 39.4 cm)Historical NotesThis early prototype uses a typical tilting-bucket arrangement, common to many "Sandy Andy" toys, to convert a back-and-forth motion into a circular motion in order to drive a pulley. Wolverine Toy operated on Pittsburgh’s North Side from c.1900-c.1970, making a variety of children’s toys that were sold on the national market. The company later moved its operations to Booneville, Arkansas and changed its name to Today’s Kids and later Today’s Plastics before being absorbed by Spang & Company
