Rectangular body with gold metal plate on front with engraved award information. Two figures of men wearing loin cloths and capes, arms raised with wreath in proper right hand. Small block at front center with car atop; front of block has plate engraved with winner name. Base made up of three tiers.Dimensions26 x 13 x 7 in. (66 x 33 x 17.8 cm)
InscriptionsGold metal plate on front of central column has engraved text "PITTSBURGH / RACING ASSOC. / SEASON CHAMPION / 1960".

Small block at front center of trophy has engraved plate reading "DRIVER / HERB SCOTT".

Historical NotesPart of a collection documenting the career of racer Herb Scott. An outstanding driver in the 1950s and 1960s, Scott secured his 500th career victory at Lernerville Speedway in 1975. Though other drivers have achieved similar success, Scott's was made more impressive due to a unique rule of the Pittsburgh Racing Association. The PRA required the season points leader to start every feature race at the back of the pack. Scott, who won eight season titles in 11 years, rarely had a good starting position.
