Historical NotesPart of a collection documenting the career of racer Herb Scott. An outstanding driver in the 1950s and 1960s, Scott secured his 500th career victory at Lernerville Speedway in 1975. Though other drivers have achieved similar success, Scott's was made more impressive due to a unique rule of the Pittsburgh Racing Association. The PRA required the season points leader to start every feature race at the back of the pack. Scott, who won eight season titles in 11 years, rarely had a good starting position.
