Dosina Blemah Doo

Dosina Blemah Doo is an African immigrant from Ghana who came to the USA in 1973. She attended the Duff Business Institute in Pittsburgh as well as the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She opened a dress shop in Homestead which rose on the market due to the beautiful homemade West African designs she created. Before Homestead, she was employed in the garment industry in New York but returned in 1991 to establish her business. Some of her bridal creations have been featured in magazines such as the Signature Bride magazine.
