Harry Orland Creazzi

Harry Orland "Chick" Creazzi, a native of Herron Hill, Pittsburgh, was a race car designer and former head of the racing division at Gulf Oil Corporation. In 1937, Creazzi joined designer Harry Miller as a draftsman on the Gulf-Miller project. The project produced four race cars designed to run on Gulf service station gasoline and oil and was the company's first foray into auto racing. After Miller and Gulf parted ways in 1939, Creazzi transferred to the Gulf Research and Development Laboratory in Harmarville, Pa. and later managed its racing division during the run of the Gulf-Mirage and Gulf-McLaren cars. Creazzi retired from Gulf Oil Corporation in January of 1972.
