Augustus H. Heisey
Worked for George Duncan & Sons (1877 to 1891) and created many designs, including "Shell and Tassel", which was patented 7/26/1881). Became secretary of the company in 1880. When George Duncan & Sons merged with United States Glass Co. in 1981, Heisey "became the first commercial manager of the U.S. Glass Co." George Duncan & Co. split with U.S. Glass Co. in 1892, and Augustus Heisey left and began a new factory in Norwalk, Ohio.
