Thomas L. West Funeral Home

The fan was retailed by the Thomas L. West Funeral Home. The funeral home was opened in 1932 by Thomas L. West after he lost the savings he had originally put aside to open the funeral home. Due to this, West ended up using his own house furniture to set up the funeral home. He persevered in the end and made the funeral home a successful one. In 1940, the funeral home was relocated from 2300 Centre Avenue to 2216 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh. August of 1994 marked the 62nd year the family business had been in operation. It is currently operated by third generation family member, Karen West Butler.
