Frank H. Christopher
Frank Christopher enlisted in the Marines a few months after graduating from Wilkinsburg High School in 1940. He served as a radio operator in Washington, D.C. and the Pacific Theatre. After his discharge, Christopher studied journalism at Duquesne University, where he met his wife, Marion Nicoll. For fifteen years, Christopher was a contributing reporter for the Pittsburgh Press, covering sports, crime and local interest. He later served on the staff of the Allegheny Bar Association before moving to Harrisburg in 1967, where he worked for the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Pennsylvania Department of Education. Christopher passed away in 2015.
