Historical NotesAssemblage related to swimmer Kaitlyn E. Orstein, a Mt. Lebanon native and Washington & Jefferson senior, who won numerous awards and broke records during her young championship career. Kaitlyn Orstein grew up in Mt. Lebanon, attending Mt. Lebanon High School. As a record-breaking teen swimmer, she received the Dapper Dan High School Female Athlete of the Year award in 2004. Her collegiate swimming career at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa., was filled with national--being a five-time national champion and an 11-time All-American--and international--collecting five gold medals for Team USA in the 2006 Maccabi Australia International Games--championships.
