Historical NotesThe Morgan dollar was designed by George T. Morgan and was produced from 1878 to 1904, and once again in 1921. Morgan's "M" monogram can be seen near Lady Liberty's neck. Silver dollar that belonged to Mel Seidenberg, writer, journalist, and local historian. The silver dollar was a gift to Seidenberg in 1956 on the occasion of his visit to Denver, Colorado, where the coin was manufactured.
