Historical NotesSouvenir button featuring former Pittsburgh Pirates right fielder Andy Van Slyke, who played for the team from 1987-1994. Andy Van Slyke was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates from the St. Louis Cardinals during spring training in 1987. He became most successful playing alongside stars Barry Bonds and Bobby Bonilla and helped propel the Pittsburgh Pirates to two of their three straight NL East titles from 1990-1992.
