Historical NotesCommemorative ticket from the Pittsburgh Penguins inaugural season home opener at the Consol Energy Center. The Penguins played their first game in the Consol Energy Center October 7, 2010, against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers defeated the Penguins 3-2. Ground-breaking for the Consol Energy Center was held August 14, 2008. The Consol Energy Center replaced the Civic Arena as the Penguins' home starting in the 2010-2011 season.
