Historical NotesKopp Glass developed "selenium red" glass in its early years; it was only fitting that they used their signature glass to celebrate their 80th anniversary with this set of coasters. Kopp Glass was founded in 1926 from the reorganization of the Pittsburgh Lamp, Brass and Glass Company. The company expanded into the industrial market in its early years through the development of "selenium red" glass. This glass became the standard for railroad signal lighting. Through the years, Kopp Glass has continued to make important contributions in the aerospace, industrial, scientific, transportation, and other markets all over the world.
