Historical NotesOn note between 2 typewriters "Typewriter used by Serbian editor Jovan Bratich".Label TextAs an additional way to remember their heritage many Serbian Americans practice their ethnic language, using the Cyrillic alphabet. Cyrillic letters were devised by Saints Cyril and Methodius, known as the “Apostles of the Slavs”. Well-known for their missionary work in Slavic regions, they created a common Slavic alphabet. This Underwood Standard No. 5 typewriter bears the Cyrillic alphabet.
