Historical NotesCollection of materials related to celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Sestercentennial. Materials include street banners promoting the citywide celebration, a commemorative umbrella featuring city landmarks, a water bottle, and a pin. The water bottle and pin are souvenir materials from the Legacy Trail Ride which was sponsored by PNC. This bicycle ride took place on October 4, 2008, and went from the Hot Metal Bridge into downtown Pittsburgh, and then to the Point for the grand re-opening of Point State Park.
