Historical NotesA parking chair decorated by Tim Menees, political cartoonist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The chair belonged to Tom Murphy who was Mayor of Pittsburgh from 1994-2006.Label TextA political cartoonist for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Menees created this chair for a fundraiser. Made to mimic the chairs Pittsburghers leave in the street to save a parking space, it features a caricature of then Pittsburgh Mayor Tom Murphy familiar to readers of the paper. Murphy served as Mayor from 1994-2006.
