After 83 meetings between the schools dating back to 1913, the series came to a close when Monaca High School merged with Center High School in 2010 to become Central Valley and would no longer compete in WPIAL Class A. The Rochester Rams won the Battle of the Bridge with a score of 28 to 0. Each year, the winner of the football game between Rochester and Monaca got to have their town's name listed first on the bridge between the two communities.
