Historical NotesLega Toscana, or Tuscan League, was established in Pittsburgh in 1915 by immigrants from the Tuscan region of Italy. It was a mutual aid society that provided support for members and created a social center for the community with a focus on philanthropic and civic events. A Ladies Auxiliary was founded in 1933, and they focused on hosting gatherings and raising money for causes in Pittsburgh and Italy. This ribbon is part of a larger collection related to Lega Toscana, and it was worn by members when someone from the organization died.
