DescriptionGreen, silver, and black bumper car. Metallic green and silver metal body with black rubber oval bumper around bottom. Front has two silver metal grills flanking maker logo at center. Two-person black foam bench seat with two black headrests and one black steering wheel mounted on black dashboard. Interior is all black materials except for silver diamond-plating in front including gas pedal. Back has two rectangular red painted plastic brake lights. Hole for the electrical collector pole sits between the two headrests, the pole is not intact. Rear corners of body have silver maker label. Historical NotesBumper car from Gran Prix ride at Kennywood Park. This type of car was replaced in 2024 during a redesign of the ride. Gran Prix celebrated its 50th birthday at Kennywood in 2023. Open in 1973, the Reverchon bumper cars were added at the park to replace another bumper car attraction – Scooter, which operated at the park from 1935-1979. Gran Prix Bumper Cars received a new theme and new cars in 2024 — themed to one of the park’s most iconic landmarks – The Potato Patch.
