Historical NotesKaufmann's 40 years of service pin. This pin was presented to the donor David Falvo's grandfather Vincenzo “Vincent” Falvo in 1956 for 40 years of service as a tailor in the Men’s Alteration Workroom at Kaufmann's department store on 5th Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. He was born in Gizzeria, Italy in 1895 and immigrated to the United States in 1912. He began working at Kaufmann’s in 1919 shortly after serving in WWI. He retired in January of 1962 after 46 years of service.
