Historical NotesPart of a collection of political memorabilia related to Andrew Butko's involvement in national, state, and local Democratic Party politics. Judge Lee J. Mazur was appointed to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in 1987 by Governor Bob Casey. He served until his 2009 retirement, after which he presided as a senior judge. Mazur graduated from Saint Vincent College in 1961 and received his law degree from West Virginia University in 1964. After which he served as a law clerk before joining the Neighborhood Legal Services. In 1969, he became an assistant public defender for Allegheny County for one year before he was elected judge for the Plum Borough Magisterial District Court.
