Atop base at viewer's right is upright rectangular wooden backer with blue and silver metal plate on front; backer sits atop two silver metal supports on a trapezoidal wooden base; metal plate has silver outline of the state of Pennsylvania with PIAA emblem at center and award information above and below. InscriptionsBlue metal award plate on viewer's right half of trophy has silver text at top "PIAA CHAMPION", and bottom "GIRLS BASKETBALL / CLASS A / 1983", and central emblem has text around the perimeter "PENNSYLVANIA INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION" and at top center "PIAA".
