Historical NotesDonated by Constance A. Vaskov, whose mother, Edith Jean Lindeborg Brucker wore the dress as a Camp Fire Girl in the 1940s.Label TextCamp Fire Girls uniform worn by the donor’s mother, Edith Jean Lindeborg, while living in Braddock and Rankin. Designed like a Native American dress with a fringe, a leather yoke, and moccasins, the uniform reflects the youth organization’s interest in woods lore, Native American crafts, and outdoor activities. The organization also taught young girls basic domestic skills.
