Historical NotesThis wine cruet was used by priests at St. Nicholas Church N.S. in church services prior to 1991. Before and after being used during the mass, cruets were kept in the sacristy. The cruets were rinsed after mass and placed upside-down on a wooden board with a few wooden sticks protruding from it, so the water would drain onto the wood. This wooden board was kept in the window panel at St. Nicholas Church N.S.
