MarksOn both sides of the bottle, at the top, "Aupke's Dairy / Phone 781-1107" is printed in orange paint. On the side of the baby, around the bottom rim, it states "SEALED NU". On another side, to the proper left, the bottom rim states "ONE QUART". On the side with the man, on the rim of the base, it states "LIQUID". On the final side, on the rim, it states "REG". The base of the bottle says "25 / 69".
Historical NotesAupke’s Dairy milk bottle c. 1950. Aupke’s Dairy was started in the late 1800s by the donor’s family. It was located at Fourteenth and Middle Streets in Sharpsburg, Pa. Their milk came from the Butler area and was homogenized and bottled it in Sharpsburg. The business closed around 1972. It was a family run business and with everyone living in Sharpsburg.
