Historical NotesSTS-59 flown shampoo used by Jay Apt. This type of camping hair shampoo was used on Shuttle missions and worked well to keep hair relatively clean. Apt also found it helpful to reduce the frequency of pre-flight hair washings from daily to twice weekly in the hope of reducing hair oil production.
