Historical NotesMax & Erma’s is a national restaurant chain with locations around Pittsburgh, one of the first being in the Gimbel’s department store downtown. The Ohio based company spread throughout the region on the 80s and 90s after starting a chain in 1972 based on the original Columbus, Ohio restaurant. The stores are covered in local memorabilia, some reproduced and some original. The South Hills locations has been there since 1990 and closed in 2016, we took some of the memorabilia that was local and original including this Pittsburgh Brewing Company flat beer can commemorating Hack & Simon Brewery, 1875, Vincennes, Indiana.
