Historical NotesThis 2016 Presidential election protest sign documents the division Presidential election race between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Allegheny County was one of the few blue counties in the state with 56.4% voting for Clinton and 40% for Trump. One side of the sign states, “if you support Trump you support hate” and the reverse states “Immigrant rights are human rights.” The issue of immigration and restrictions on immigration became a central point of debate in the election.
