Historical NotesThe Royal York building still stands on the corner of Bigelow Blvd right before Schenley Farms. The Art Deco building was constructed during the depression, it was the second apartment building in the city with a steel frame. The Tarry Bar and Royal York occupied the bottom floor until about 1963 when it changed to the Park Schenley.
