Historical NotesBanner remembering Steelers defensive end Dwight White, who passed away before his scheduled appearance at Parade of Champions, the only Pittsburgh 250 event that featured the city's famed reputation as a city of sporting champions. This three-day event took place at the Senator John Heinz History Center and Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum. Dwight "Mad Dog" White played for the Steelers from 1971-1980 and won four Super Bowl rings. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and a member of the famed Steel Curtain.
