Historical NotesHensel was a Democratic challenger of Robert Pattison's in the 1890 Gubernatorial Election The 1890 Election saw Robert Pattison run and subsequently win the governorship as a Democratic candidate, and George W. Delamater run as the Republican candidate. Daniel Hastings and Edward A. Montooth were other Republican contenders.
