Historical NotesPromotional t-shirt featuring the Great Pittsburgh Pierogy Race. The four Racing Pierogies on this t-shirt: Jalapeῆo Hannah (green hat), Cheese Chester (yellow hat), Sauerkraut Saul (red hat) and Oliver Onion (purple hat). The blue hat is worn by Potato Pete. The promotion with Mrs. T's Pierogies began in 1999 at Three Rivers Stadium during Pittsburgh Pirates games; the tradition continued when the baseball team moved to PNC Park in 2001. Part of a collection related to donor Elaine Linkenheimer's family and local Pittsburgh history.
