plate on the right in front of Part c has text "Last Open Hearth / Heat / June 1979".
Historical NotesCommemorative containing piece of the first electric furnace heat from and piece of the last open hearth heat from Jones Laughlin Steel Pittsburgh Works, an LTV Company. Source is Ken Lewis, whose uncle was a machinist and his dad, brother, and brother-in-law worked on the open hearth.
