DescriptionBasketball trophy with tall brass cup with two decorative handles. At top of cup is a male basketball player, with proper right arm extended, hand holding ball. Cup mounted on a plastic wood-like block. On either side of block, on same type of platform, are two different models of a basketball player, proper right arm stretched, hand holding ball. Base has engraved metal plate on top block with trophy information and gold plate attached to base block with engraved names and season record.Dimensions27.25 x 14.25 x 6.875 in. Historical NotesDonor Bernard Matthews was a member of the St. Canice team that had a 32-1 record. St. Canice, located in Knoxville, Pennsylvania, closed in 1970. At the time of 1955, the team was coached by Arthur J. Martin, who coached the team through much of the 1950s.
