DescriptionCircular black and yellow metal button with straight metal pin in back; yellow satin ribbon attached. Front of button has team name with the 1970s Pirates logo of a man wearing a hat with a yellow skull and bandana underneath; MLB logo to the proper right of Pirates logo. White rectangular piece of cardboard in back behind pin holds top of ribbon to button. Attached to the bottom of the button is a small black satin loop with a gold metal chain running through; two plastic gold charms (a baseball and a baseball bat) hang from chain. Historical NotesThe 1971 National League Championship Series was a best-of-five series that pitted the Eastern Division champion Pittsburgh Pirates against the Western Division champion San Francisco Giants. The Pirates won the Series, 3 games to 1, and would go on to win the 1971 World Series against the Baltimore Orioles.
