Historical NotesPair of men's ice hockey skates that belonged to the donor's father, Jay Harvey Coleman, Jr. Coleman was from Highland Park and wore the skates while attending Westminster and Lehigh from 1912-1917. The skates were made by the Winslow Skate Co. in Worcester, MA. The company, founded in 1837, made both ice skates and roller skates. In the late 1880s, Winslow was the largest manufacturer of ice skates in the country, supplying skates to most of the nation's ice rinks.
