DescriptionPanama-Pacific International Exposition (PPIE) badge. Round pin attached to dark blue ribbon. Pin has a picture of a white, columned building with an American flag and a crowd in front. The picture is set in a pin setting with an ornate twisted border. Underneath the pin is a dark blue ribbon with gold inscription with exposition logo and information.Dimensions1 x 3.25 in. (2.5 x 8.3 cm)
InscriptionsRibbon has inscription "PENNSYLVANIA / DAY / SEPT. 4TH; beneath this is an "I", a backwards "P", a frontwards "P", and an "E". The "P"'s are taller than the "I" and "E", and contain images of the continents, as on a map. Beneath those letters is the date "1915". These inscriptions are embossed onto the ribbon with gold ink.

Historical NotesPart of a collection relating to the Pennsylvania Grand Army of the Republic and John Remley who served in the Civil War and was active in the leadership of the GAR. The collection documents the military career of a Civil War soldier from the Western Pennsylvania region.
