Historical NotesEyeglasses and case belonging to the Barrett Family collection. Eyeglasses are from Kornblum Optician, 37 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburg, PA. Part of a collection of items from the Barrett, Boggs, and Otto families, including a hand-made apron, two wedding bands, spectacles, and a spectacles case, collected to document these Western Pennsylvania families. Members of the three families immigrated to this area from Europe in the mid 18th and early 19th centuries.
