Historical NotesTwo commemorative bowls. One bowl was for the donor Lyida Ott's parents', Git Lee and Lew Shee Lee, 50th wedding anniversary in 1966, celebrated at Cork & Bottle in Pittsburgh. The other bowl was for the parents' 65th wedding anniversary in 1981. Part of a collection from the Git Lee family collected to document the life and work of this Pittsburgh Chinese family. The Lees operated a general merchandise store on Third Avenue from c. 1930-1965.Label TextThese bowls are from Lew Shee Lee's and Git Lee's 50th wedding anniversary in 1966 and from their 65th anniversary in 1981. It was customary for the celebrating couple to give guests bowls, spoons, or chop sticks.
