DescriptionA small tapered single cut triangular file. Forged and hardened steel. Three-sided tapers to a sharp point/shirt tapered shape. Very closely spaced teeth to produce a very smooth, fine cut. Dimensions0.375 x 0.375 x 5.875 in. (1 x 1 x 14.9 cm)

Historical NotesFound in collection. This very fine file may have been used to sharpen hand saws, and may be related to the carpenter's tools in the collection. Files of this type were often used to sharpen saws and possibly drill bits.
